Ms. Sreedharan held an LL.B. from Cochin University of Science and Technology, where she graduated with a Gold Medal, and an LL.M. from George Washington University, awarded the Thomas Buergenthal Scholarship. Her academic credentials were complemented by an M.Sc. in Cytogenetics, an MBA, and a Diploma in Computer Science. This diverse educational background laid a solid foundation for her legal career.

As a registered patent agent and advocate, Sunita specialised in various areas of IP law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, geographical indications, and biodiversity laws. Sunita served as a Legal Advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO), where she contributed to drafting health legislation for Bhutan and assessing India's health-related laws concerning international regulations. Following her passing on May 2, 2024, SKS Law Associates transitioned to a partnership model with Dr. Guriqbal Singh Jaiya and Ms. Daisy Sharma joining as partners. The firm continues to uphold her legacy by providing comprehensive IP management services while expanding its expertise in various sectors such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and technology. In addition the firm continues her commitment to philanhropy through its CSR activities.
